The new Vetlab logo depicts the partnership between Deltamune SA and Vetlab Zambia to establish a quality service provider for the Zambian agricultural industryUSAID Southern Africa Trade Hub partner, Deltamune SA, launched a new brand and logo for the recently upgraded Vetlab laboratory service in Lusaka, Zambia, on June 11, 2015. Detamune SA acquired a majority stake in the Vetlab laboratory service in December 2014.

A Strategic Partnership Grant from USAID, through the Trade Hub, is enabling Deltamune to upgrade the Vetlab facility in Lusaka to become the first ISO 17025 accredited laboratory in Zambia. The grant provides for intensive training of Vetlabs staff on microtoxins, aflatoxin, a Quality Management System, as well as upgrading of the facility.Deltamune has already successfully upgraded the water system to provide continuous clean water, serviced all chemistry equipment, and procured new aflatoxin kits.

During his address at the launch, Acting CEO for Deltamune Carl Bates acknowledged Trade Hub grant assistance support and announced the new mycotoxin and independent grain testing services that will be on offer at the upgraded facility.As a result of the USAID Trade Hub-supported improvements, Vetlab achieved favourable ratings in the recently completed laboratory assessment survey conducted by Southern African Grain Laboratory Services (SAGL) for Zambian laboratories.
