The SA Trade Hub Communications Team is in the process of developing and producing a number of video products designed to capture the USAID program’s five years of diverse, market-oriented activities and influence.
These informational products will tell the story of the program, its activities, and impact on beneficiaries in a variety of short-formatted videos. The goal is to visually capture and communicate broadly the project’s success and efforts to increase international competitiveness, intra-regional trade, and food security across Southern Africa.
The SA Trade Hub team this week traveled to Lusaka, Zambia where it conducted a series of wide-ranging agriculture field site visits, met with the Regional Electricity Authority (REA), and held consultations with USAID/Zambia and the US Embassy. During these visits the team met with stakeholders and partners to witness first-hand the impact of the SA Trade Hub’s technical assistance and strategic partnership grants. The Team conducted interviews, visited storage warehouses, farms, and food processing plants, and held partner consultations with Jungle Beat, Vetlabs/Deltamune, and Lumuno.
The SA Trade Hub plans to generate at least six short videos showcasing the long-term effects of the strategic partnership grants, agricultural technical assistance, and the significant role and impact of Aflatoxin training on value chain development as well as a longer, integrated piece on the Feed-the-Future program accomplishments in Zambia.
