During the week of January 18, 2016, a joint thematic slogan for the integrated Sourcing Africa pavilion at the MAGIC 2016 fashion trade show was developed and agreed upon by the East Africa Trade and Investment Hub (EATIH), West Africa Trade and Investment Hub (WATIH), and the Southern African Trade Hub.
The tagline, “The Africa Advantage,” will be woven through all materials created for the show as part of the unified marketing and outreach strategy developed by the USAID MSTAS project and the three Trade Hubs.
The communications teams from the three Trade Hubs held a coordination conference call to discuss the branding, tagline, and marketing materials for the upcoming MAGIC Las Vegas as part of USAID’s support for African companies to attend the textile, apparel, and footwear trade show. The integrated Sourcing Africa Pavilion will showcase textile and apparel companies from Southern, East, and West Africa during the MAGIC trade show on February 16-18, 2016.
EATIH, WATIH, and the Southern Africa Trade Hub agreed to shared roles and responsibilities with MSTAS regarding the design and production of marketing materials including a company directory and brochure. It was agreed that EATIH will take the lead collecting and collating necessary exhibitor information for the company directory. WATIH will take the lead in providing a graphic designer and copy editing for the collateral materials with review by the other two Hubs and MSTAS. Final review will be done jointly by the three communications teams, and EATIH will print the materials and ship them to Las Vegas, USA for use at MAGIC 2016.
