SADCSTAN TrainingThe Southern Africa Trade Hub is supporting the Southern Africa Development Community Cooperation in Standardization (SADCSTAN) to revamp its website.

SADCSTAN is the sole body mandated by the SADC Council of Ministers to coordinate standardization activities and services in the region, and the website will provide an important tool for information dissemination once complete.

This week the contracted website developer, SA Web Design, conducted basic training on website Content Management System (CMS) to the SADCSTAN Secretariat personnel and select Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZABS) staff. Seven participants (three of whom were women) were trained on creating, editing, and deleting news and article items; content management and site navigation; user testimonies and event items; creating custom forms; and customizing automated response emails. The next step is for a primary administrator and content editors to be nominated in order to ready the site to go live in the near future.
