Meeting with BITC and the Ministry of Trade and IndustryOn September 17, 2015, USAID’s Southern Africa Trade Hub held a meeting with the Botswana Trade and Investment Centre (BITC) and the Ministry of Trade and Industry to follow up on meetings during the 14th AGOA Forum, which took place in Gabon from August 24-27, 2015.

The AGOA Extension and Enhancement Act (2015) specifies that beneficiary countries must have AGOA Utilization Strategies that will be made public and shared with the US Trade Representative (USTR). Botswana desires to work closely with stakeholders and USAID’s Southern Africa Trade Hub to develop an AGOA Utilization Strategy.
