The aim of the meetings with staff at various levels was to determine the readiness of multiple agencies—including the Malawi Revenue Authority, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Agriculture, Medicine and Poisons Board, Reserve Bank and Bureau of Standards—to begin the process of National Single Window implementation.

Areas assessed included objective and vision, commitment, legal framework, business processes, human resources, institutional arrangements, equipment and infrastructure, communications, and information communication technology.
