Botswana for National Single Window On January 27, 2016, USAID’s Southern Africa Trade Hub organized and hosted a meeting of Botswana Unified Revenue Service (BURS) senior managers and directors from other government agencies who are to be involved in implementation of the National Single Window (NSW) and members of the NSW Project Management Unit (PMU).

The Botswana NSW Roadmap calls for the creation of an NSW Steering Committee at Permanent Secretary level, a necessary step in NSW implementation. In order to move towards this Steering Committee and increase awareness, the meeting was called to involve senior management from other government activities more directly in the activities of the NSW PMU.

The agenda included presentations and discussions with the directors on the Botswana NSW followed by a more technical meeting of the PMU to report on progress and allocate activities, including development of a project plan and continuation of data harmonization tasks.
