Revised Customs Act Commences in NamibiaDuring the last week of January 2016, USAID’s Southern Africa Trade Hub began the second reading of the revised Customs Act in Windhoek, Namibia, which was drafted by the Trade Hub at the end of 2015.
Namibia Customs and Excise has invited representatives from across the private sector and Namibian trade organizations to participate in this second reading. The aim is to ensure that the trading community's inputs are incorporated in the new law and that the private sector can understand and prepare for the changes introduced by the legislation.
