National Single Window (NSW) Advisor Stuart Millen met with the Hon. Joseph Mwanamvekha, Minister for Industry and Trade, Malawi, to provide him with an in-depth briefing regarding the NSW and progress made to date. 
During the working session, a number of key items were discussed including:The National Single Window and how other countries have implemented the process;
  • Where Malawi is in relation to the NSW road map;
  • The role and support of the Trade Hub project for the NSW in Malawi;
  • The immediate actions, activities and resources that are required to successfully move forward with the NSW.

The Minister noted in the coming weeks there will be an announcement regarding the formation of a Cabinet Committee for doing business that the National Steering Committee will report to (regarding the NSW). The
Trade Hub will be scheduled to provide a detailed briefing and presentation to the National Steering Committee on the NSW with an analysis of other countries' implementation experience as well as the benefits and options for Malawi’s NSW.
